Abstract :
A number of systems for supporting decision making have been developed and adjusted to help physicians to provide better treatment to diabetic patients, to optimise treatment by insulin or adapt the patients´ diets. The authors´ approach of expect systems is new because they propose to provide the patient with the means to take better care of his or her own illness on a daily basis
