Abstract :
The proposed work in this paper follows the one described in Piranda et al. (1998) where a comparison of several methods were done to study the acoustic radiation of piezoelectric transducers in fluids. This comparison shows that the variational method based on a mixed formulation finite elements/boundary elements, were the most efficient to model such a radiation. According to this observation, this paper presents an approach that consists in an analytic treatment of the Green´s function of the fluid medium for 2D cases. Comparative results have been performed with this approach and the Gauss´s technique of numeric integration. Finally a validation of the approach has been achieved by comparison of the computation results with experimental measurements
