  • Abstract
    We propose an optically-amplified transmission system using highly-efficient remotely-pumped multi-core EDFAs and a novel hybrid wavelength-/space-division multiplexing scheme. Basic characteristics of the pumping efficiency of the system are experimentally clarified.
