Abstract :
A Smart Grid is an enhanced version of electric grid in which the demand and supply are balanced to meet the customers need. The paper deals with the formation of a cloud-based Smart Grid for analyzing the Bid-Data and taking decisions to balance the demand of customer needs. The proposed formation of smart grid will deal with Big Data set which will contain the data regarding the power usage patterns of customers, historic weather data of the location, the current demand and supply details. The grid will operate on the data being fetched from the cloud storage. The paper also focuses on smart grid being framed with the renewable energy sources.
