Abstract :
Progress in structuring ferroelectric nonlinear materials with sub-micrometer periodicity domains for counter-propagating nonlinear interactions is overviewed. As an example of device realisation, the unique coherence properties of counter-propagating parametric interaction in such structures are dicussed.
