Abstract :
We demonstrate a cost effective broadcast signal transmission in a WDM-PON by using directly modulated mutually injected Fabry-Pérot laser diodes (MI F-P LDs) as a low noise broadband light source (BLS). This novel WDM source enables to transmit the 1.25-Gb/s/channel with 100 GHz channel spacing.
