Abstract
The hop-and-turn concept has been applied to the microwave spectra of two typical hydrogen bound ferroelectrics, triglycine sulphate (TGS) and Rochelle salt (RS), to show that microwave dispersion has two mechanisms: the first one is only seen in the vicinity of the phase transition temperature and is accompanied by the dc conductivity, and the second one which is seen at all temperatures. In the vicinity of the phase transition this second mechanism is combined with the first and we see anomalous temperature dependencies. We attribute the first mechanism to proton hopping motion, the second one to structural reorganization of water molecules
