Abstract
Since 1995 different scenarios for teleteaching have been developed at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. As schools and institutes of the university are distributed over two neighbouring cities at about a distance of 20 km, there is a specific need for teleteaching applications. Teleteaching applications have become an integral part of the curriculum and are being conducted routinely. Teleteaching scenarios on offer include virtual lectures, seminars and practising courses. In this paper the network requirements and setup for teleteaching with native ATM are investigated, and network architecture and control detailed
