Abstract :
This paper describes some issues to connect supercomputers for metacomputing applications via an ATM gigabit link. Possible solutions based on different communication technologies are presented and the pros and cons for the final implementation are discussed. TCP/IP tuning was investigated to achieve maximal throughput
