Abstract :
The computation of a state-space realization of a linear dynamical system, starting from a polynomial matrix decomposition of it, is addressed. Simple procedures are given for obtaining its dynamic matrix (possibly in block-companion form) through unimodular transformations, starting from a square diagonal polynomial matrix, obtained as an intermediate step of the overall realization algorithm
