Abstract :
In this paper a class of controllable and/or observable realizations for singular systems is presented. The characteristic feature of this class is that it may be obtained directly from the generalized transfer function. The existing realizations for singular systems require the decomposition of regular pencils or the division of polynomial matrices. Here no decomposition or division of generalized transfer function matrices is used and this makes the proposed realization very attractive.
