Abstract
This work analyzes co, counter and bidirectionally pumped distributed Raman amplifiers (DRA) utilizing single mode fibers (SMF). Power and Signal analysis are employed to obtain important design parameters as gain, noise figure and eye penalties, and comparisons are made between the different configurations.
