Abstract :
We propose an injection-locked fiber laser (ILFL) for switchable C-band generation based on an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) and gain-saturated reflective semiconductor optical amplifiers (GS RSOAs). The laser generates a narrow 3-dB bandwidth (<; 0.06 nm), high and uniform peak power (Pmax >; 0.22 dB, ΔP <; 0.26 dB), high and uniform side mode suppression ratio (SMSR >; 66 dB, ΔSMSR <; 1 dB), and over 40 C-band wavelengths with 100-GHz channel spacing.
