  • Abstract
With the development and research of digital substation, some digital substations are built in power grid. Time synchronization in digital substation is researched, and some kinds of time synchronization system applied in substation are introduced. Application of time synchronization system based on SNTP in Guangdong power gird is put forward. This testing system based on SOE(sequence of events) resolution of controlling device is composed with some elements. Through analyzing the conclusion of testing, some reason is displayed such as the accuracy of the standard master synchronizer based on SNTP the load of network of operating floor the utilization percent of CPU in REC670 and the performance of network equipment. So the time synchronization system based on SNTP has a bright future in digital substation. It is a clear conclusion that time synchronization system based on SNTP is a good choice of digital substation time synchronization system.
