Abstract
This paper discusses a new capability, the Hybrid Pseudo-Random (HyPR) Dynamic Force Generator. This capability uses geographic position data of select ground platforms in an operational unit to quickly generate realistic, dynamic positions for the remaining unit platforms. This capability (implemented in MATLAB) was initially designed to generate scenario-linked laydowns for an entire ~3000 platform U.S. Army Future Combat System (FCS) Brigade Combat Team (BCT) with varying configurations. The configurations were driven by Horseblanket/Unit Requirements Sheet (URS) and established guidelines for FCS and its spinouts, e.g. Infantry BCT (IBCT). The HyPR generated platform level maneuver data was then input into a wireless connectivity analysis tool and an OPNET-based Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) system performance model of Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) and other radio systems/protocols to enable network analyses. HyPR provides a speedy and robust capability to develop high fidelity, scenario linked platform level maneuver data.
