Abstract :
In this paper we present a method for the identification of a parameter q in an operator equation of the form G(q,u) = Y from the given input Y and the known quantity u. The procedure for the identification of q is based on asymptotic properties of a certain evolution system which contains the equation above as an imbedding. The main assumption that we exploit is the bilinearity of G.
