Abstract
This paper explores the steady state analysis of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), which is adopted in wind power generation. Various modes of operation of DFIG, have been discussed in detail .Using the standard steady state equivalent circuit, all the performance parameters were predetermined by various existing methods of analysis. It is proposed that, a simple nodal analysis is much easier and less complicated, as compared to other methods. A simple algorithm to find the required voltage through the rotor to maintain the real and reactive power constant at the stator side was also developed and tested using MATLAB coding. Various performance parameters were studied in detail and presented in this work.
