Abstract :
We report the first 8-channel error-free transmission at 10 Gb/s (2-channel) and GbE (6-channel) performed on Project GIGA Testbed. The 10 Gb/s 2-channel transmission performance has been characterized, in Campinas, in terms of Q-factor and bit-error-ratio (BER) as a function of receiver sensitivity and received optical signal-to-noise ratio, OSNR. The use of different schemes for dispersion compensation has been evaluated, as well as the impact of channel detuning.
