Abstract :
Visidyne, Inc. has designed, developed, and tested a very sophisticated software package called ASAP (Automated Scene Analyzer and Processor) to analyze the high volume of infrared imagery being collected by the MSTI-3 (Miniature Sensor Technology Integration) sensor. The ASAP data analysis output is a series of statistical parameters that characterize the data images and can be used as a set of search parameters on a the data base to allow a user to identify. A subset of data images on which to focus an indepth data analysis. This software was specifically configured to read, process, and analyze the MSTI-3 data in its present deliverable format, i.e., PDS (Planetary Data System) Version 3, however, it is very flexible and could easily be modified applications requiring analysis quantities of data
