Abstract
It is essential which we study on water level control characteristics of a stream generator, for economics, security and reliability of entire operation of nuclear power plant. Robust characteristic of variable structure controller is combined with interpolation property of fuzzy logic controller in a sliding mode fuzzy controller. The control system is insensitive to burthen variety and outside disturbance because of the robustness property of variable structure, and fuzzy control which reduces the chattering of variable structure predigests the controller design. In this paper we adopt the design method of sliding mode fuzzy control for the water level of a U-tube and natural circulation steam generator. Simulation results show that the control method has a good effect.
