  • Abstract
Based on new portable instruments (mini-medium-volume sampler), intensive samplings on inhalable particulate matter (PM10) in Jiaozuo city have been conducted, the mass concentrations of PM10 was weighted, and the content of parts of heavy metals of PM10 was tested by ICP-MS in this paper. The relationship between the concentration of PM10 and the meteorological condition was discussed. The experiments indicate that the mass concentrations variation of PM10 and the wind speeds had a inverse ratio of correlation, and the mass concentrations variation of PM10 and the humidity had a positive ratio of correlation. The contamination extent of heavy metals in inhalational particles is rather serious in Jiaozuo city. The pollution of Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in the collected samples is the most serious, and the enrichment fact of Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn is 550, 205, 34.8 and 120.8 respectively. This indicates that the contamination of heavy metals correlate with vehicular exhaust and coal combustion.
