Abstract :
This work presents a novel application of smart antennas in the radios based on SDR architecture. In these systems new requirements are emerging, and great challenges should still be won. Any solution that minimizes the signal processing necessities, optimizing the functionalities of SDR, is configured as a way of the development of this radio architecture. This article intends to propose such optimization, through by use of the CAPON estimate to detect the frequency and the direction of arrival, simultaneously, using a smart antenna.
