            Abstract :
This paper presents a PC based software running on a PC dedicated to the training in sub-micron CMOS VLSI design. The software firstly consists in a HDL-based schematic editor with on-line logic simulator, featuring accurate timing analysis and current consumption prediction. Secondly, the package includes a layout editor with HDL-synthesis and on-line analog simulation, configurable to any sub-micron CMOS technology. This tool has been successfully used in many student projects within several universities and training centers around the world
