  • Abstract
    This paper proposes an enhanced LRU-SEQ (ELRU-SEQ) replacement policy to save energies for data caches. We develop an integrated power model for the skewed-associative cache with ELRU-SEQ. Spectre simulations and Cacti are used to model our new cache to generate the experimental results. Our results show that ELRU-SEQ saves 23.5% to 35.4% more energy than LRU for SPEC2000 benchmark programs.
