Abstract :
This paper advocates that cable lines should be used in the urban network planning of important areas such as the urban center etc. The urban network structures which can tolerate ice storm are formed by ice storm tolerated designing and planning. The source problems of urban networks in ice storm are solved by involving the distributed energy resources (DES) based microgrid. The requirements of the sources are: the source should be close to load center, no pollution and can connect to distribution directly, the source can be dispatched to finish the power supply in the conditions of ice storm, which also can be suitable for the economy and environment protection. The DES based microgrid is the ultimate solution to solve the contingency source problems.
