  • Abstract
The Astronautics Laboratory, Air Force Systems Command, has developed the Advanced Space Structure Technology Research Experiments (ASTREX) facility as a test bed for validation and integration of emerging controls/structure interaction (CSI) technologies. This unique national test bed provides for large-angle slewing and vibration suppression of realistic spacecraft models. A detailed description of the ASTREX facility and its capabilities is given. Some of the on-going and planned technology validation experiments are discussed
