Abstract :
The author presents an overview of papers given (total of 14) at two invited sessions on case studies in robust control design at the 29th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (1990). A wide range of applications are reported, including applications in flight control, process control, vibration control of large flexible structures, and electric power generation control. Theoretical techniques used to solve the various control problems range from classical frequency-domain techniques, e.g., PID control, to H∞ control methods, e.g., two-Riccati-equation techniques
