Abstract :
A fault-tolerant control method based on a new accommodation filter is proposed. Using the filter´s ability to estimate the actual failure deviations and the actual states under faulty conditions, the authors illustrate a fault-tolerant control under sensor and actuator failure in a noisy system with parameter ambiguities. Although this approach to fault-tolerant control uses only analytic redundancy based on a mathematical model, with no additional hardware, it is expected that the result of this study may be easily applied to fault-tolerant control systems with additional hardware
