Abstract
Image generation algorithms for certain multimedia and virtual reality applications used today do not take into account, that successive images in a sequence are very similar. Thus, the computational load of the graphics hardware is proportional to the frame rate. In order to reduce this effect, a new nonlinear image interpolation method is presented which uses subband separation and median filtering
