Abstract :
Urban environmental quality is affected by many factors. There is no generally acknowledged and exercisable method for urban environment qualities assessment. Based on character of urban environment system information, evaluation method of unascertained measure model is adopted in urban environment qualities evaluation in this paper. The unascertained measure model divides the evaluation space orderly, its evaluation result is credible and it is more suitable for evaluating the environmental quality. Based on analyzing and researching, a relatively integrated evaluation indexes system has been established in this paper. Taking five western important cities of China as a case, this paper has evaluated the urban environmental qualities during 2003-2006 of Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Guiyang and Xi´an, analyzing the changing trends and the unitary qualities of them. The analysis results will provide scientific decision-making for improving urban environment quality of western cities.
