Abstract :
We show that the thresholded Hamming distance is a valid metric of the computer representable number set instead of the real number field, in which a real-number code is originally defined. This deployment not only completes the theoretic derivation of the real-number codes decoding but also gives a guideline for threshold selection, for the first time in the literature
