Abstract :
In the past decades the Digital Home has become a fact. Music, television, video, news and person-to-person communication now all reach the home and the consumer in digital, often compressed form and are digitally processed before turned into sound and images. Many people are always connected and Web 2.0 enables many new, often mobile, services. For the coming decades we foresee further innovations for homes and buildings, but in a different direction.
