Abstract
This paper deals with the problems of 3D reconstruction of femur using stereo-radiography. A direct linear transformation algorithm for the reconstruction of 3D objects from biplanar radiography has been implemented. This method is based on the principle that the anatomical landmarks are visible in only two images. It requires, as technical prerequisites, an edge detection step to detect 2D contours and at least six calibrating points to calibrate the biplanar radiographic environment. Finally, the DLT method validation was assessed in the femur specific case.
