Abstract :
This paper presents statistical benchmarking results of voltage harmonics in electric power transmission systems at 161 KV and above utilizing field data obtained from a large utility system. The voltage harmonic levels during each month and season for more than one hundred monitored sites are obtained. The correlation between load and harmonic levels are analyzed. Possible resonance frequency due to shunt capacitor banks is also calculated. The benchmarking results may provide useful information for understanding the statistical properties of harmonics.
