Abstract :
The paper presents an efficient window adaptive filtering algorithm for image enhancement. It is shown that the Chandrasekhar algorithm for optimal filtering of the scalar image pixel data may be coupled with a window adaptive NSHP model for this purpose. The results are illustrated for three real images.
