Abstract :
A new design scheme for a self-tuning controller, combined self-tuner (CST), is proposed in this paper. The design philosophy of the CST is analyzed, and the simulation results are also given. The CST is compared with the extended self-tuner (EST). The capability of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by its application to the basis weight control loop of a paper machine.
