Abstract
In this paper a class of nonlinear control structures is proposed to address the phenomenon of energy exchange between certain controlled modes and uncontrolled modes in the control of distributed parameter systems. The control structure is derived by requiring the energy in the controlled modes to be dissipated in a finite time.
