Abstract :
We will present a numerical algorithm to calculate quadratic optimal control recursively for linear retarded multivariable systems with delays in state and input. Our algorithm is based on the method of steepest descent in Hilbert space. Our algorithm gives optimal control effectively and still does not have large memory requirements. We have performed several numerical computations which show how the effectiveness of our algorithm compares to other methods.
