Abstract :
As enterprising customers are increasing storage capacity at the growth of 50% every year, the storage of energy become to be a urgent problem that the IT management facing. The researching energy consumption of network storage system architecture and establishing energy consumption model which relates to system expansion and workload is the key point to solve the problem of energy consumption. This paper combine with an actual system testing, it analyzed each module´s energy consumption in network storage system, tested each module´s atomic energy consumption and the energy consumption related to model workload in the system. By comparison, the model is proved to be able to reflect the true situation of system. This study provided a way which can evaluate overall energy consumption of mass storage system and develop the standards.
