Abstract
Summary form only given. We have demonstrated experimentally that it is feasible to construct a microwave plasma closing switch by using a cylindrical coaxial line structure. A theoretical modeling was later presented at the APS meeting. This paper represents the revised version of both the theoretical and experimental studies on the same topics. Theoretically, the cylindrical coaxial line structure can be modeled by a very simple equivalent electrical circuit consisting only of resistors, capacitors, and inductors. The mathematical formulation obtained from such a circuit can explain our experimental observation very successfully.
