Abstract :
According to the stratified observed data of flow velocity and sediment concentration of two consecutive tidal cycles at 29 stations in the tidal channels of Jiangsu radial sand bars, the paper carries out comparison and analysis to the statistical characteristic values of the suspended sediment concentration in the tidal channels with comparative analysis and fitting research method, and establishes corresponding statistical relations of the sediment concentration in the sea water. With strong overall correlation, the statistical relational expressions can desirably reveal and reflect the changes and vertical distribution characteristics of suspended sediment in the tidal channels in this sea area. The results of these studies are helpful to the understanding and awareness of the interaction of tidal current-sediment and the movement mechanism of suspended sediment.
