Abstract
A novel approach for satisfying heterogeneous bandwidth requirements of clients connected using a modified fat tree network-on-chip is presented. The new approach allows the NoC designer to satisfy the bandwidth requirement of each client without the need to "overdesign" the NoC. Thus, the power can be reduced without impacting the performance of applications running on the NoC.
