Abstract :
The objective of this paper is to describe development of the manufacturing systems knowledge area within the Coalition for New Manufacturing Education. The paper also provides brief background information on the Coalition, Focus: HOPE and the perceived need for change in manufacturing education. Specific educational modules being developed for the manufacturing systems knowledge area as part of this Greenfield effort are also described
