Abstract :
Along with the increasing of the capacity of wind power, load-following regulation has become the main factor that restricts the power grid´s acceptance ability of the wind power. This paper presents a method and model for predicting the acceptance of wind power energy from the aspect of load-following regulation, aiming to provide an intuitive demonstration of the power grid´s acceptance ability of the wind power and guidance for the planning and dispatching of wind power. Based on the present condition of the gird, composition of power source and the actual operational data of 2010 of the Northern Provinces of China with a rich wind power resource, this paper calculate and predict the provinces´ acceptance of wind power energy in 2011 in detail under different scenarios. Suggestions for increasing the wind power in the system are presented.
