Abstract :
Reconfigurable Optical Add / Drop Multiplexer is a subsystem of All Optical Networks. In this paper we compare the performance analysis of ROADMs with one and two switches in between the multiplexers with different traffic means under different traffic models. To analyze the routing performance of different categories ROADMs, BPP model has been used. As per the simulated results, when traffic peakedness Z is increases Bernoulli model is preferred because it allows to get full routing power for more switches As the traffic mean increases, the full routing power value decreases only in Poisson and Pascal models.
