Abstract :
This paper explored Taiwanese college graduates´ perception differences of the importance degree of industrially required work competencies. The researchers randomly surveyed 500 college graduates participating in the Quality Manpower Cultivation Projects executed by Taiwan Ministry of Education-An one-year practical training served as a way out of immediate employment for new graduates of bachelor degree. The findings of the study showed that graduates´ perceptions of importance of employability competencies differed in industrial type. Distinct perception differences were found between the graduates undertaking internships in service-related organizations and those in non-service-related ones.
