Abstract :
To meet today´s technical challenge of providing electrical power to demanding loads, a new method of R(N/M) fault-tolerant power distribution was introduced by Shi (1992). This paper further explores possibilities where power distribution and power conversion are integrated in a redundant power system. By adding the simplest R(1/2) distribution blocks to both sides of the power converters, dual-redundant and triple-redundant power systems can be developed with improved power system reliability
