Abstract :
It is shown that, by coordination of the signaling on the pairs, correlation between their noise voltages can be exploited with relatively simple implementations. One such implementation for transmitting at 1.6 Mb/s is illustrated. Correlation was predicted with a relatively simple model. There is a greater than 50% chance of a higher than 1.5-dB processing gain being achieved by exploiting near-end crosstalk correlation in this way
