Abstract :
Tissue harmonic imaging provides better spatial resolution by producing the image with the second harmonic component generated by nonlinear propagation in tissue. However, the spectral overlap between the transmitted signal and received second harmonic signal results in image artifacts and reduces the image quality. Conventional filtering techniques such as a bandpass filter can separate the second harmonic and fundamental components at the expense of reduced bandwidth.
