Abstract :
With the rapid growth of the Web, users attempting to access network-based remote resources by their personal computers for parallel computing are experiencing slow response times due to network congestion and limited Internet bandwidth. We have designed and implemented a system WPRS (A Web Based Proxy of Remote SP2), in which the Web proxy techniques and mechanisms are used for realizing accesses to a remote parallel computer SP2 for parallel computing easier. On the basis of WPRS, we designed a WPRS interface to the Globus grid system. By this way users personal computers have a potentially huge and extensible computational platform and resources available for their applications.
